PURPOSE:To reduce heat generation on a lead-in wire to improve the efficiency, and reduce the generation of crack at a lead-in part caused by expansion and contraction of the lead-in wire. CONSTITUTION:In an electrodeless discharge lamp having the double-tube structure, in which an induction coil 3 is wound closely to an inner tube 1 as a sealed container filled with the discharge gas and the inner tube 1 is sealed inside of an outer tube 2 as a sealed container and the discharge gas inside of the inner tube 2 is discharged by an electric field to be caused by supplying the high frequency current to the induction coil 3, a capacitor 4 is connected in parallel with the induction coil 3, and the capacitor 4 is arranged inside the outer tube 2. Lead-in wires 5a, 5b pass through the outer tube 2. |
