PURPOSE:To obtain an acrylic resin molded product having the same quality as a mirror surface coated product and capable of being used in place of said coated product by processing a base material composed of an air permeable fiberboard into a required shape and using an acrylic resin sheet having an opaque colored layer as a surface material to integrally bonding the same to the surface of the base material. CONSTITUTION:A base material 1 composed of an air permeable fiberboard is processed into a required shape. An opaque colored layer' 4 is applied to the rear of a transparent acrylic resin sheet becoming a surface material, for example, by painting or printing and this acrylic resin sheet 3 is softened under heating to be bonded to the surface of the base material 1. The acrylic resin sheet 3 is softened under heating and subsequently integrally bonded to the surface of the base material 1 by a vacuum molding machine or a vacuum press to be molded. Next, the surface of the sheet 3 is ground using a belt sander or a level sander as a grinder. Finally, buffing finish or thin coating is applied to the sheet. An extremely thin film is formed in order to impart gloss. |
