The invention relates to a device for producing a solid concrete support block for a post, in a trench. In accordance with the invention, the device includes a concrete box (10) with thin bottom and side walls, exhibiting a central reception space (16), and loops (19) projecting upwards for the passage of suspension bars (2) bearing on the edges of the trench (F); the device also includes a peripheral anchoring framework (20.1) surrounding the concrete box (10) like a basket, also being suspended from the said concrete box which then forms consumable (lost) formwork on pouring the concrete into the trench (F). <IMAGE>
