PURPOSE:To attain proper setting of lighting by applying/interrupting a power supply for the lighting in response to each application of a portrait camera or a document camera. CONSTITUTION:The terminal equipment is provided with a camera section 201, a monitor section 202, a handset section 203 and an operation key section 204 and a camera application discrimination means 205 discriminates whether the camera is used for a portrait camera or for a document camera depending on the direction of the camera. When the camera is used for the document camera, a lighting power supply changeover means 206 applies a section of lighting and when the camera is used for the portrait camera, the means 206 interrupts the power supply for lighting. In this case, this terminal equipment is provided with a lighting section 207, a display changeover section 208 selecting display on a monitor, a video CODEC section 209, an entire control section 210 controlling the entire communication terminal equipment, an audio CODEC section 211, a multiplexer demultiplexer section 212 multiplexing or demultiplexing the video image and the audio signal and a line interface section controlling the interface with an ISDN line. |
