NEW MATERIAL:A 4'-cyclopropyl-propiophenone derivative shown by the formula I (R is H, branched lower alkyl, cyclopentyl, cyclohexyl, or cyclopentylmethyl; A is pyrrolidino, piperidino, hexamethyleneimino, or heptamethyleneimino) and its salt. EXAMPLE:4'-Cyclopropyl-2-isopropyl-3-piperidinopropiophenone hydrochloride. USE:Having central muscle relaxing action, useful as a remedy for spastic paralysis, muscular spastic contraction dolorosa accompanied by locomotorium organs, etc. PREPARATION:As shown by the reaction formula, cyclopropylbenzene shown by the formula II is reacted with an aliphatic acid halide shown by the formula III in the presence of anhydrous aluminum chloride, then, the reaction product shown by the formula IV is subjected to Mannich reaction in the presence of a cyclic amine salt shown by the formula V and paraformaldehyde, to give a compound shown by the formula I. |
