PURPOSE: To provide a durable seal ring applicable to a fluid under pressures ranging from a low to a high pressure encountered between a cylinder and a piston or the like. CONSTITUTION: A plurality of rings 12, 14 with different elastic moduli, one with low elasticity and the other with high elasticity having facing joining surfaces 38, 30 are joined with an adhesive layer 18 provided at the joining surfaces 38, 30 to form an integrated seal ring with a single compound elastic modulus. The inner circumferential part of the joining parts is pressed to a sliding plane as a sealing zone. As a soft low elastic modulus ring is joined to a hard high elastic modulus ring, deformation, damage and abrasion of the seal ring can be decreased. |
