The construction units each comprise a concrete block pillar(1) of pyramidal form with an approximately triangular cross-section. The apexx of each block has a rounded tip(2) & has a flat slightlly recessed base which can be placed on the ground(9). Each block is provided with a vertical hole(8') equipped with a locking pin(3) and a vertical downwardly projecting locking peg. Each block has also one flat face into which a metallic T-section piece is fitted, one face of each T-piece pressing on the mating face with a similar member on the side of the adjacent block.
