<p>PURPOSE:To prevent malfunction in program searching by releasing mute in the case of detecting no silent part when a tape is driven in the reproducing mode by the running length of the tape from the detection point of the silent part to the stop point of tape running in the high speed winding mode. CONSTITUTION:A signal which indicates a silent part is sent out from the detecting circuit 11 to the control circuit 13 when a signal level reduces to less than the prescribed level at point 'a' during the high speed fast-forewinding mode in which the mute circuit 4 is operated. Therefore, the circuit 13 indicates stopping of the rewinding mode of the mechanical device 7, while the circuit 13 counts outputted pulses from the photo-coupler 9. If the tape stops running in the state in which the head 1 contacts with point 'b' owing to constitution of a motor, the circuit 11 indicates to the device 7 so as to switch to the reproducing mode from point 'b', also, the attenuator 10 is made non-operational and pulses from the coupler 9 are counted. At the time when a predetermined part has passed that is from point 'c', the circuit 4 is made non-operational and music is reproduced from the loudspeaker 6.</p> |
