<p>PURPOSE:To enable the correct measurement of a radiation dose in an incineration exhaust gas containing a large quantity of corrosive acid gas, by using a specific scintillation detector and a pump of high temperature type. CONSTITUTION:An exhaust gas of about 200 deg.C flows through an exhaust duct 1 of an incinerator. A part of the exhaust gas flowing through the exhaust duct 1 is led into a dust sampler rack 3 through a pipeline 2. The pipeline 2 is heated by a heating wire 4, and it keeps the temperature of the exhaust gas invariably at 180 deg.C or above by a temperature regulator 2a even when the temperature of the exhaust gas varies. Next, this exhaust gas of high temperature is led to a measuring element 5, radioactive dust is collected on filter paper 6, and thereafter measurement of a radiation dose is conducted by a scintillation detector 7 of a high temperature type. The exhaust gas after the measurement is passed through a flowmeter 14, sucked into a suction port 17 of a pump 16 of a high temperature type through a pipeline 15, and returned from a discharge port 18 to the exhaust duct 1 through a pipeline 19. By this method, the radiation dose in the incineration exhaust gas can be measured correctly.</p> |
