<p>PURPOSE: To enable drying in high efficiency and gas separation by using small amounts of purged gas and in low total energy demands by sending a feed gas flow to non-permiate sides of a membrane system under more than normal pressure and sending the purged gas to permiate sides under reduced pressure. CONSTITUTION: A feed gas flow is sent to non-permiate sides 7 of a membrane system such as membrane separation module 8, etc., under more than normal pressure and the permiate side 9 is maintained under reduced pressure of about 0.1-7.5 psia. Under the condition, fast permiable components are selectively accererated to permiate from surfaces of the membrane 8. And product gases are recovered from the non-permiate side 7 of the membrane 8, the purged gas and fast permiable components permiated from the membrane 8 are discharged. By the method, gas drying in high efficiency and separation of fast permiable components such as CO2 , ammonia, etc., from the feed gas flow is carried out by using small amounts of purged gas and in low total energy demands.</p> |
