The transmitter built into the key, and the receiver incorporated in the lock, are provided each with a microprocessor, data memory and pseudo-random number generator. The transmitted message combines a functional command with fixed and variable codes. The key and lock are mechanically matched and inseparably joined for purposes of transportation and installation. The receiver is individualised electronically from the associated key and at the same time synchronised with the individualised transmitter. USE/ADVANTAGE - Remote operation of door locks on motor vehicles. System can be synchronised with min. trouble and without risk of confusion.
