A gas dust filter insert has a star-shaped supporting frame and insert and end plates enclosing the open folds. The novelty is that the star-shaped folded filter insert ridges are firmly secured in lines or points to the supporting frame. Pref. the ridges on the filter insert are secured to the supporting frame by glue or melting/cooling. Only the inner faces of the filter insert ridges are glued to the supporting frame. The glue may be applied in a dotted or continuous line. A filter insert made of plastic fleece may be attached to the frame by spot welding with a heat gun. USE/ADVANTAGE - The filter removes dust from gas in general industrial applications when the filter is cleaned from time to time. During cleaning with reverse flow compressed air, the attachment of filter insert locking on the ridges enables the rest of the filter to flex and loosen dust, to regenerate the filter without detaching from the frame.
