The invention concerns a guide device for a drawing strip which is utilized in connection with the insertion into a channel of a mechanically weak cable which is sensitive to tractive forces, etc. A drawing strip with a certain width and relatively small thickness is inserted in the channel at the same time as the cable. The drawing strip is shaped into a tube so that it surrounds the cable. According to the invention the guide device comprises a first guide device 9 for stretching the drawing strip 2, a second guide device 10 for shaping the drawing strip 2, where the second guide device is designed with one or more spiral-shaped guides for the drawing strip and a central guide for the cable 6. The second guide device 10 is preferably designed with a number of spiral-shaped guides in order to achieve the tube shaping. The different guides have different diameters in order to be able to achieve shaping of the drawing strip 2 with different diameters, whereby different widths of drawing strip can be utilized. The guides are preferably open so that the drawing strip can be taken in and out through an opening in the respective guide. The distance between the coils of the spiral also means that the cable 6 can be taken in and out from the central channel through which the cable runs during the drawing of the cable. <IMAGE> |
