PURPOSE:To widen the fixing temp. range of a toner and to eliminate the staining of a rear surface by using the crosslinked polymer of a copolymer consisting of a styrene monomer, acrylic acid and semi-ester compg. of specific structure as an essential component. CONSTITUTION:The copolymer contg. the semi-ester compd. as a constituting unit is formed by the esterification reaction of the styrene monomer, acrylate or methacrylate monomer and the acrylic acid or methacrylic acid deriv. having a hydroxyl group and dicarboxylic acid. Such copolymer and zinc compd. are brought into reaction by which the resin compsn. for the toner consisting essentially of the polymer crosslinked with zinc is obtd. The zinc compd. includes zinc fluoride, zinc chloride, zinc acetate, etc. and is added at about 0.5-2mol by 1mol the charged semi-ester compd. |
