Arranging stream of products on conveyor belt

The method is for arranging a series of products (17) which move in succession in a downstream direction along a conveyor bel in such a way that they go into phase with a product processing unit connected downstream to control the activation element to arrange the products. The method is applied in an appts. having an endless chain driven by a chain wheel which is driven from the multi-pack machine by means of transmission. The transmission is driven by a motor. Carriers are fitted at equal intervals on the chain. The carriers swing between a working and non-working position. In the working position the carriers project upwards through the space between the top parts of the conveyor belts. In the non-working position the carriers do not project beyond the top parts.
