The safety container walls are formed by two cover units, the first of which forms the container outer cover and the other the inner. The inner cover encloses a receiving space for waste medical material. The distance between the cover units is equal to the length of the parts which are liable to protrude from the waste material and which are liable to penetrate the second cover. The second cover is made of a material provided with an opening or openings, through which the swellable and hardenable material is arranged to fill the receive space or the space outside the second cover.
