The radial-flow fan has a housing with a cylindrical peripheral wall and front and rear walls, contg. a coaxial rotor. The latter has a rear cover disc with radial blades on the front surface and coupled to the driving shaft, also a front disc joined to the other blade edges. The blade inner ends enclose an axial inlet connected to the one in the housing, which contains a volute chamber, widening in the direction of rotation of the fan. The outer ends of the rotor blades are immediately adjacent to the peripheral housing wall, while the cover disc towards the volute chamber has an opening to the latter in the axial direction.
