The appts. housing comprises a frame section (1), to which a cover (3') is hinged via a double hinge mechanism, exhibiting 2 parallel pivot pins (5,6), respectively fitting through bearing holes in the frame section 81) and the cover (3'). The adjacent edges of the frame section (1) and the cover (3') have interengaged cog teeth extending concentric to the 2 pivot pins (5,6). Pref. a respective cover is hinged to the frame section (1) via a respective double hinge mechanism at either side. The ends of the bearing pins (5,6) in each case are fitted into respective bores in a common end cap (4) with a locking screw (7) for securing the inserted ends.
