The present invention relates to compositions of protective underbody coatings for use in the automotive industry. These coating compositions give coatings having anti-corrosive, anti-abrasive and sound deadening properties and comprise a solid hardener in the form of a powder, one or more fillers and/or pigments and one or more diepoxide resins, said hardener essentially not reacting with the diepoxide resins during storage of the paint at ambient temperature.
