PURPOSE:To provide a tape carrier package, whose function can be easily tested by a testing probe. CONSTITUTION:A tape carrier package, which is mounted on a tape and is fed, is cut at a cutting place 5 and is mounted on a printed board. Check holes 7 for function test use at the same pitch as the pitch between outer lead wires 3 are provided in the tape 4 on the wires 3 and when the function test of the package is made after the package is mounted on the printed board, a test probe touches the holes 7 to make the test. As the holes 7 are provided, a short circuit between pins is never generated and the observation of a waveform and the like can be easily made. Even if a film with the check holes provided therein is adhered on the wires 3, the similar effect can be obtained. |
