CHIP-SHAPED TRANSFORMER AND ITS MANUFACTURE

PURPOSE:To provide a low-cost chip-shaped transformer whose structure is simple and to provide its manufacturing method. CONSTITUTION:Insulator sheets 1d are sandwiched between laminated bodies composed of magnetic-substance sheets 1a to 1c and 1e to 1b in which conductor lines have been former on surfaces or edges; individual conductor lines 2 to 35 at the edges are connected at the outer circumferential edge parts of the laminated bodies; the laminated bodies in which two or more coil-shaped patterns divided by the insulator sheets 1d are arranged. Their manufacturing method is composed of the following: a conductor-line formation process on the surface of the magnetic-substance green sheets 1d; a coil-shaped pattern formation process wherein the sheets are laminated and the conductor lines 2 to 35 are connected at the individual outer-circumferential edge parts; a process wherein the insulator sheets 1d are sandwiched between two or more magnetic-substance green-sheet laminated bodies provided with the coil-shaped patterns; and a process wherein external electrodes connected to both terminating ends of individual coils are formed on surfaces of the laminated bodies which have been baked integrally.
