PURPOSE:To keep coordination between abnormality information and error detection information even when an ignition switch is turned off before storage of abnormality information and its error detection information is completed. CONSTITUTION:A failure diagnosing system for vehicle is provided with buffer memories 11, 13 for temporarily storing information on abnormality detected by an abnormality detecting means 10 and error detection information calculated based on the information on abnormality, backup memories 15, 16 for storing the information stored in the buffer memories 11, 13 and transferred from the buffer memories, a transferring means 14 for transferring the information stored in the buffer memories 11, 13 to the backup memories 15, 16, and a termination processing means 19 for continuing the transfer when an ignition switch is turned off during transferring of information. |
