A connector press block

A press block (35) for use in an application device for through hole mount on a Printed Circuit Board (PCB) of a connector having press-fit type contact terminals. The press block (35) comprises a plurality of adjacently spaced insertion members (36) having an application face (39) for engaging the contact terminals and applying an insertion force thereon. At least one insertion member (36) at an end position (40) of the plurality of insertion members (36), at its application face (39), connects by at least one reinforcement member (37) to an adjacent insertion member (36). Preferably, a plurality of insertion members (36) at their application face (39) connect by reinforcement members (37). The press block (35) is advantageously produced by Metal Injection Moulding (MIM).
