The present invention relates to an improved structure of an air compressor, and specifically, to an improved structure of an air compressor, wherein: two independent members of a cylinder and an air storage unit of the air compressor are combined to be able to act; after being combined, they can form a main air storage chamber and an air passage for relieving pressure to reduce the motion resistance of a piston body and make the operation smoother; in the air passage for relieving pressure, a metal support pad is installed in a place connected to the main air storage chamber to let a valve holder be more stable when it makes a vertical motion; on the circumferential wall of the air storage unit, a pressure gauge is extended and placed; the pressure gauge can indicate the current pressure value and, when a certain safety pressure maximum value of the air compressor is reached, can discharge excessively compressed air through a ring-shaped ring section and a long penetrating slot; safety can be secured even without separate installation of a safety valve on the air compressor; and no damage due to an excessive pressure is given to an article to be filled with air. |
