The box comprises a parallelepiped housing, whose front wall is lower than the rear wall. The housing is closed by a lid which is hinged to it by arms. The lid, in side view has an L-shaped contour and is matched to the housing opening. The arms are formed as separate parts, joined both to the lid and housing. The lid front wall (11) reaches as far as the housing floor (5), and the arms (3) are so arranged on the housing and the lid (2), that the opened lid with its front edge locates on the surface on which the box is set and with its rearward edge is supported on the arms.
