The apparatus switches a safety switch to inspect the internal structure of a duplicator while operating the duplicator. It includes a safety switch (5) for turning off power when opening the front cover of a duplicator, a controlling section (7) composed of a driving motor, a solenoid and lamps, a main controller (6) for controlling the controlling section (7), the 1st switch (SW1) connected in parallel to the both end sides of the safety switch (5), the 2nd switch (SW2) connected to a central processing unit of the controller (6), and a pull-up resistor (R1).
