A motor vehicle headlight, of the type comprising a casing (10), a lens (closure glass) (40) and at least one reflector (30a, 30b) and a lamp (20a, 20b) which are mounted in the casing, as well as an electronic circuit for controlling at least one function of the headlamp, is characterised in that the said casing constitutes an optical casing (10) and in that the electronic circuit is mounted in a separate electronics casing (50) fixed removably onto the optical casing. The modular headlight thus obtained is, in particular, easier to design, manufacture and repair. <IMAGE>
