PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an external electrical component and a method for removing the component capable of enhancing the workability of removing the external electrical component by enabling the external electrical component to be easily and quickly removed from an electric connection box when the electric connection box is disposed of. SOLUTION: A pair of intervening members 3 is mounted to the external electrical component 2 so as to intervene between the external electrical component 2 and the electric connection box 1 when the component 2 is connected to the box 1. The intervening member 3 includes: a flat plate 4; a thin-wall section 4a formed at the almost center point of the flat plate 4 and connected to the external electrical component 2; a locking fragment 4b mounted to one edge of the flat plate 4 and folded so as to position between the bottom face 1b of the electric connection box 1 and the back face of the external electrical component 2 opposing the electric connection box 1; and a folded holding section 4c mounted to another edge of the flat plate 3 outwardly protruding from between the electric connection box 1 and the external electrical component 2.
