High resolution computer controlled image projector - uses computer controlled active and passive opto-electronic displays with fixed shutter focussing light onto thin light fibres

The arrangement is for high resolution computer controlled colour image projection using computer controlled active and passive opto-electronic displays (17). A fixed shutter (3) with or without integral lenses (2) is positioned between the display and a light receiving wall (4). The shutter focusses the light signals from display elements (1) onto the inlet apertures (15) of thin light conducting fibres (5, 14). These fibres guide their light signals to a light outlet wall (10) which has very thin mixed colour light conducting cables (9, 11). ADVANTAGE - Different display technology can be used to improve resolution and brilliance of pictures through glass optic. Adaptable for all image projectors. Fibre optic cable use allows light receiving units to be arranged in compact form.
