In this method of desulphurising biogas that contains H2S, the H2S is converted to SO2 by selective catalytic oxidn. and the SO2 in the gas is then washed out in a soda lye wash. Variants are claimed for the oxidation to be done in a reactor in which the biogas is heated, and for a reactor suitable for this purpose. USE/ADVANTAGE - The usual methods of desulphurising biogas involve considerable ecological problems, whereas the simple method here offered, in which the H2S is completely removed from the gas, is compatible with ecological requirementsb
