<p>PURPOSE:To provide a compound, a useful intermediate in the industrially advantageous production of 4-oxo-5,7-dichloro-1,4-dihydroquinoline useful as an intermediate for agricultural/horticultural bactericides. CONSTITUTION:The objective 1,2,3,4-tetrahydroquinoline is derivated from (A) an intermediate: a reactional product of 3-(3,5-dichloroanilino)propanoic acid (its salt or ester) obtained from 3,5-dichloroaniline with acrylic acid or its derivative, or (B) another intermediate: a reduced product from the above compound A, 4-oxo-5,7-dichloro-1,2,3,4-tetrahydroquinoline (or its salt).</p> |
