In the continuous prodn. of a wear resistant hand material metal composite by centrifugal casting, solid pulverulent and/or granular synthetic metallic and/or non-metallic hard materials are injected for a time, using an inert carrier gas, into the inflowing metal stream during casting into a centrifugal casting mould rotating about its symmetry axis.
