PURPOSE: To remove a distortion effect due to the angle of a camera and depth form an image, and to remove the optical distortion effect of the camera. CONSTITUTION: A process 1 for searching for a satellite picture image, and a process 2 for digital recording the satellite picture image are the initial processes of a method for generating a geographical map. A process 3 for photographing an aereal picture, process 4 for scanning a picture by using a video camera, and generating an analog video signal, process 5 for digitizing the analog signal, process 6 for digital recording the air picture image, and process 7 for generating the topographic map are a method suitable for transmission to a computer. A process 8 for relating the aereal picture image and the satellite picture image with a common special reference frame is operated by the computer. In a final process 10 for generating a composite image useful as the topographic map, the computer combines a relatively low special frequency component with the relatively high special component of the mosaic image from the aereal picture image. |
