METHOD OF MAKING A MONOCHROMIC COLOURED THERMAL DYE IMAGE

A thermal dye sublimation transfer method is provided for making a monochromic coloured thermal dye image for medical diagnostics or medical archiving, said method comprising feeding an electric representation of a medical image obtained from any diagnostic source to a thermal imaging source to selectively heat in accordance with said electric representation a dye-donor element comprising a support having thereon a dye layer containing dye(s) having heat transferability and thereby to information-wise transfer dye(s) from said dye-donor element to a dye-receiving element brought in face-to-face contact with said dye-donor element and comprising a support having thereon a dye image-receiving layer, wherein said information-wise transferred dye(s) forms in said dye image-receiving layer a monochromic coloured dye image mainly absorbing in two primary colour spectral regions.
