PURPOSE:To easily and accurately adjust the visual fields of a plurality of image pickup devices so as to improve the reliability of inspections without adjusting the positions of the image pickup devices even when the visual fields of the devices overlap each other when the appearance of an object to be inspected is photographed with the devices in a divided state. CONSTITUTION:After finding the overlapping area S1 of visual fields of a plurality of image pickup devices 1 and 2 is found by performing mask processing, a reference value S0 for comparison is obtained by subtracting the value Sa of the area S1 from the are S of an object M to be inspected. Then, by comparing the sum Sa of the areas photographed by the devices 1 and 2 with the reference value S0, the propriety of the object to be inspected is discriminated. |
