The filling machine for small portions of a powder or paste material, e.g. sausage meat or fat, has a suction channel (5e, 3c") connected to the suction zone of the blade cell pump (3) pump chamber (3b) used to advance the material. The first section of the suction channel (5e, 3c") runs from the suction zone of the pump chamber (3b) in a fixed side section (5) of the pump (3) to the centre of the rotor (3c). A second section (3c") of the suction channel, connected to the first, forms a channel in the rotor axis (3c') of the pump (3). Pref. the first section of the suction channel (5e, 3c") is in the lid (5) of the pump chamber (3b). An underpressure manometer (8) is connected to the first section of the suction channel (5e, 3c"), pushed into place. ADVANTAGE - The assembly has a simple construction, with an effective operation, with easier cleaning.
