摘要 <p>PURPOSE: To provide a process and apparatus for separating a component from a gaseous mixture in a high productivity maintaining high performance and lesser investment. CONSTITUTION: The process for separating at least a component of the gaseous mixture flowing in one adsorbent mass 16 of plural adsorbent masses accompanied by a periodic change in which the high pressure of a cycle is at least twice as high as the low pressure of the cycle by absorption consists of arranging the adsorbents as plural sectorial shapes 11 integral with the shafts distributed around a supporting shaft 2 rotating around the axis, assuring the centripetal or centrifugal radial gaseous flow toward longitudinally long collectors 18 and 19, one of which exists in a radial inner side 18 with respect to the sectorial masses and the other of which exists on a radial outer side 19, in the adsorbent layers and assuring a rotating speed of about 2 to 20 times/min. The process is particularly suitable for production of oxygen from air.</p>
