PURPOSE:To confirm that a piece of information has been recorded surely so as to be provided with a sufficient margin by a method wherein, even when the temperature of a medium immediately after a disk has been mounted is in an unstable state, the state of the medium is checked. CONSTITUTION:The temperature at the inside of an apparatus is measured by using a temperature sensor 15. On the basis of a numerical value measured by using the temperature sensor 5, a laser control circuit 19 changes the intensity of a laser irradiation power at a time when a piece of information is recorded on an optical disk 11. By using a CPU 14, it is judged whether an information signal stored in a RAM 17 coincides with an output signal from a pickup 18. In addition, a comparator 24 is provided with a prescribed slice level by means of a reference-voltage generation circuit 23. Consequently, the CPU 14 changes the slice level according to a measured result from the temperature sensor within a prescribed time from the point in time when the optical disk 11 has been mounted, said output signal is changed and the level is judged. |
