PURPOSE:To eliminate data on a part becoming the detection object of an error check circuit at the time of analyzing a fault part. CONSTITUTION:When an error is detected in a central processing unit 1, an error flag 5 is lighted. The error is noticed to a service processor 2. It starts a fault analysis program for indicating the fault part. The fault analysis program loads a fault part indication dictionary 6 stored in a magnetic disk device 4 and block diagram information 9 where the minute block diagram around the error check circuit is mentioned on the error flag 5 in the central processing unit 1, and retrieves information on the error flag 5. Retrieved information displays the indication of the fault part in a fault part indication screen 7 by the operation of a maintenance panel on a display 3. Furthermore, the block diagram around the error check circuit is displayed in a block diagram screen 8 by the operation of the maintenance panel. |
