PURPOSE:To eliminate image defects, such as electrification mottle, cycle mottle, and moire, in an image forming device provided with a contact electrification device. CONSTITUTION:The surface 5a of a photosensitive drum 5, to be electrified, is electrified by abutting an electrifying roller 6 connected to a power source 7 on the surface 5a. An electrostatic latent image is foamed by exposing the electrified surface 5a with laser light modulated by an image recording signal S1. At this time, since a voltage applied to the electrifying roller 6 contains a pulsating flow element, detrimental electrification irregularities are formed on the electrified surface 5a. By making a pulsating flow element which offsets the pulsating flow element of the electrifying roller 6 overlap the image recording signal S1 which is a basis for laser exposure, electrification irregularities is prevented from being caused on the electrified surface 5a, and electrification mottle, etc., on a print image, resulting from electrification irregularities, are prevented. |
