PURPOSE:To disuse an electrical arithmetic unit, to reduce the unit cost and to improve the reliability by reflecting the dislocation of the pipe end to the moving route of a cutting torch with the link being inclined according to the stagger quantity in the fore and aft directions of the pipe end with the abutment of a probe to the pipe end. CONSTITUTION:Probes 34, 34 are abutted to the pipe end and links 35, 35 are inclined according to the stagger quantity in the fore and aft directions of the pipe end. A profiling member 39 comes into contact with this link 35, 35 all the time and the positioning in the fore and aft directions of the vertical member to be linked thereto is performed. Now a movable block 18 performs a traverse motion along the link 35, 35, the cutting torch supported by the vertical member advances and retreats according to the stagger quantity of the pipe end and the cutting of a tab plate 1' is performed. In this way, the stagger at the pipe end is automatically detected and the cutting torch traces automatically the route corresponding to the quantity thereof. |
