PURPOSE:To transfer a reception notice when a recipient is absent by using a multifunction telephone set so as to implement reception notice of a facsimile document and informing the reception to the recipient. CONSTITUTION:Image information including recipient information and caller information in document data received by a facsimile equipment 3 are sent to an information processing unit 1, and a numeral identification means 12 in the information processing unit 1 recognizes a recipient number and a caller number in the facsimile document and the information is informed to a multifunction telephone set 4 connected to a private branch of electronic exchange 5 based on the recipient information and the caller information stored in a notice information file section 2. A multifunction telephone set 4 to be noticed is registered as the recipient information in matching with the schedule of the recipient and even when the recipient is absent, the information is noticed through transfer to a designated person. Thus, the reception of a facsimile document is confirmed even at a location apart from the facsimile equipment and the designated person receives the notice even when the 1st recipient is absent.
