<p>PURPOSE:To obtain a fiber-splitter capable of preventing generation of a noise or propagation of an unnecessary or irregular crack by equipping the splitter with plural blades on the peripheral surface of a rotary member and with receiving members for receiving fibers to be split at positions between the mutually adjacent blades. CONSTITUTION:Plural blades 15 are attached to the peripheral surface of a rotary member 13 leaving a space in the direction of rotation and receiving members 16 for receiving fibers 17 to be split are attached between the mutually adjacent blades 15 and 15. Thereby, the fibers 17 to be split are received in the receiving members 16 between the blades 15 and 15 to reduce the amplitude of the fibers to be split when allowing plural blades 15 to come into contact with the fibers 17 to be split in order accompanying rotation of the splitter 11 and splitting the fibers 17 to be split. In this receiving member 16, at least, the part for receiving the fibers to be split has preferably a curved-surface shape.</p> |
