PURPOSE:To prevent a skin material from becoming offset from its appropriate position and thereby obtain a molding with a satisfactory finish by providing a projecting part on a bottom force, of a die, where the end of the skin material is located, and a recessed part on a corresponding top force, and performing a molding process with the edge of the skin material sucked into the bottom force, when the skin material and a molten resin are pressed to manufacture a molding with the skin material partially attached. CONSTITUTION:A molding die used consists of a bottom force 2 with a projecting part 3 where the end of a skin material 9 to be deposited is located, and a top force 1 with a recessed part at a position where the projecting part 3 corresponds. In addition, a clearance 4 where the peripheral edge of the skin material 9 is fixed to the bottom force 2 by vacuum suction, is provided in the projecting part 3 or its base. The skin material 9 is deposited so that its peripheral edge matches the projecting part 3, and then is sucked by using a vacuum through the clearance 4 to be fixed to the bottom force 2. Next, a molten resin 8 is poured into an area between the skin material 9 and the top force 1 to undergo a die tightening process and a pressing process for a molded product. The molding has the peripheral edge of the skin material 9 accommodated accurately in the groove and thus has a satisfactory finish. |
