PURPOSE:To prevent phase discontinuity and flickering by switching two video signals formed through a delay means at a discontinuous point of horizontal synchronism at each field in a video signal processing unit used for an electronic still camera. CONSTITUTION:An input signal from an input terminal 1 is delayed respectively by 0.5H each at the 1st and 2nd delay devices 2a, 2b so as to form a 1H delay signal (g), this is mixed with an input video signal (e) at a mixing amplifier 6 and amplified. On the other hand, a signal (k) as the result of amplification of an output (f) of the device 2a is fed to a changeover switch SW1 together with an output signal of the said mixing amplifier circuit 6. The switch SW1 outputs selectively output signals h, k at the discontinuous point of the horizontal synchronizing signal of an input video signal (e) or its vicinity at each field by using a signal (i) produced by a control circuit 3. Thus, the skew due to phase discontinuity included in the video signal and flickering attended with the field switching are prevented in this way. |
