<p>PURPOSE:To obtain an effective catalyst for production of an assymmetric cyanohydrine with addition of hydrogen cyanide to an aldehyde compd. by using a dipeptide compd. having a specified structural formula and a titanium IV alkoxide. CONSTITUTION:A dipeptide compd. expressed by formula and a titanium IV alkoxide are used. In formula, R<1> is an isopropyl group, isobutyl group, etc., R<2> is a benzyl group, isopropyl group, etc., R<3> is a lower alkoxy group, hydroxy group, etc., R<4> is H or a propylene group coupled with R<2> and R<4> in the end, R<5> to R<8> are same or different H, halogen atoms, or CH=CH-CH=CH coupled with R<5> and R<6>, R<6> and R<7>, or R<7> and R<8> at the end, shows a configuration of S or R. By using the obtd. catalyst, production of an cyanohydrine by addition of hydrogen cyanide to an aldehyde compd. can be performed at high yield and high optical purity.</p> |
