PURPOSE:To easily operate a cursor, which is displayed on a picture, in the feeling that the cursor is moved in the direction indicated by a finger by moving a remote controller. CONSTITUTION:An infrared signal is transmitted by a remote controller 12 and is received by light reception parts 16, 18, and 20. An X coordinate detecting circuit 22 calculates the coordinate in the horizontal direction of the remote controller 12 based on signals from first and second light reception parts 16 and 18, and a Y coordinate detecting circuit 24 calculates the coordinate in the vertical direction of the remote controller 12 based on signals from second and third light reception parts 18 and 20. A cursor display circuit 36 displays the cursor on the picture in accordance with coordinates of the remote controller 12. |
