PURPOSE:To obtain the output of an image having a stable density by comparing the density of a reference image transferred in proper transfer conditions with the density of the image of a prescribed stage, and controlling image forming conditions before a transfer process, based on the result of the comparision. CONSTITUTION:A humidity sensor 8 arranged in a device detects humidity therein. The data of the detection is arithmetically processed by an arithmetic device 10, and a transfer controller 501 is controlled so as to obtain the proper transfer conditions corresponding to the detection data. The reference image for measuring the density is formed on a nonimage region on a photosensitive body 1, in the proper transfer conditions, and transferred on a transfer unit 5. The transferred pattern for measuring the density is measured by a density detecting sensor 9, and the data is sent to the arithmetic device 10. At this time, the data is compared with the density of the prescribed stage and operated. When there is a deviation from the density of the prescribed stage, each of the conditions is independently or combinedly controlled via an electrified controller 201, an exposing unit controller 301, and a developing unit control 401, and they are operated so as to obtain the density of the prescribed stage. |
