The invention provides a suspension for vehicles, in which a standard torsional axle is accommodated in the chassis in such a manner that it can rotate completely freely, and pneumatic springs are arranged between the chassis and arms which are arranged at the ends of the torsional axle and support the wheels of the vehicle. To this end, it is possible for mounting plates, in the form of angle plates, to be attached to the chassis and to each arm, between which mounting plates the pneumatic springs are arranged.
