PURPOSE:To save an operator the trouble of setting operation mode every use of a copying machine without storing mode setting information in a magnetic card or an IC card, and facilitate also the management of the copying machine. CONSTITUTION:When an operator inserts a magnetic card 4 to a card reading device 5, the cord of the operation recorded in the magnetic card 4 is read, and whether the cord is coincident with any one of natural cords of respective operators preliminarily stored in a RAM 3 is judged by a CPU 1. When the coincident cord is present, prohibition of copying motion of a copying machine is released, and a specified operation mode stored in relation to the coincident natural cord is read to set the operation mode of the copying machine. The range freely operable by the operator is also limited according to the information of the operation allowable range stored in relation to the natural cord. |
